Howden Commandos

*

*On a blustery Autumn Saturday, the Howden Hard Men (and one woman) left behind their pinstripe suits to don fatigues and boots and take part in the 2006 Commando Challenge. This event has been organised by the Royal Marines since 1993 to raise money for charity and give the mad few a chance to experience some of the training that the Green Berets have to endure.

Despite the absence of the three former bona fide commandos belonging to Howden’s senior executive, the team were the 6th fastest out of the 185 teams that took part and raised a sizeable sum for the charities chosen by the Royal Marines.

With this type of training, underwriters better look out when the Howden Hard Men come to their box!
